A new malware variant, Resurge, is exploiting a critical vulnerability in Ivanti Connect Secure appliances, according to the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). The malware has similarities to the Spawn malware family, known to be used by Chinese threat actors. Resurge can manipulate integrity checks, create web shells, and harvest credentials among other things.
