Circular Genomics has secured $8.3m in a series A funding round, led by Mountain Group Partners and joined by new partner UNM Rainforest Innovations. The genomics company is a pioneer in the use of circular RNA (circRNA) for precision psychiatry and neurology. The funds will be used to build commercial operations and features a test to predict a patient’s likely response to specific antidepressants, thereby helping to end the trial and error approach to treatment.
