These aim to regulate the misuse of personal information, encourage the use of data within legal boundaries and enhance security. A series of public comments were sought concerning drafts related to security management for facial recognition technology, mobile internet minor’s models, and the personal information protection compliance audit. In turn, a string of companies received penalizations for failure to uphold data security and personal information protection obligations.
