Check Point Releases Its Global Threat Index

Check Point Software Technologies’ Global Threat Index for February 2025 highlights the rise of AsyncRAT, a remote access Trojan, as a significant threat. The report revealed that Ethiopia is currently the most targeted country, followed by Zimbabwe and others in Africa. The most prevalent malwares found were FakeUpdates, Androxgh0st and Remcos, with mobile malware being led by Anubis. Clop was identified as the most prevalent ransomware group.
