Change Healthcare hasn’t given VA details on hack-impacted veterans, top lawmaker says

The US House Veterans’ Affairs Committee criticised UnitedHealth Group CEO Andrew Witty for not revealing details of a ransomware attack on its Change Healthcare system that may have compromised veteran data. The company paid a $22m ransom and alleged that six terabytes of customer data were stolen. UnitedHealth plans to notify affected customers about the breach. The Veterans Affairs department confirmed there was minimal impact on patient care but that several of its IT systems were knocked offline.
