UnitedHealth Group (UHG) is handling the fallout from the Change Healthcare data breach by notifying affected entities and individuals. Change Healthcare, now owned by UHG, has reviewed the majority of impacted files and believes full medical histories were not stolen. Change will handle HIPAA and state attorney notifications, unless companies opt out. Personal data, including contact and health insurance information, was affected. Victims have been offered two years of free credit monitoring and identity theft protection services.
