CEO of AI ad-tech firm pledging “world free of fraud” sentenced for fraud

Before Kubient’s IPO in 2020, it claimed to significantly reduce ad fraud with its fast, machine learning technology. After raising over $33m in equity offerings, investigations by the SEC and other bodies led to charges against Josh Roberts, Kubient’s former chief financial officer and others. Roberts faced up to 20 years for securities fraud.
