Centra sues its own oncology provider

Virginia-based Centra Health is suing its own oncology provider group, Lynchburg Hematology-Oncology Clinic, for over $7m, alleging “inaccurate documentation and coding” led to overpayments between 2016 and 2021. The clinic refutes the claim, stating that the lawsuit impacts community cancer care and could threaten the clinic’s ability to continue offering its services.
