CDC’s Funding for State and Local Public Health: How Much and Where Does it Go?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is the main source of health department funding across the US. Red states received 56% of the total funding but on a per capita basis, however, those who voted for Kamala Harris received slightly more than those who voted for Trump.
