Chromebooks are touted as a secure, virus-resistant alternative to traditional PCs due to their unique operating system, ChromeOS. With features such as automatic system updates, sandboxing, and encrypted local data storage, Chromebooks offer a robust defence against malware. They’re not entirely immune from security threats, however, as they can still be subject to phishing attacks, malicious extensions, and harmful Android apps. Nonetheless, their multiple layers of defence make them one of the most secure operating systems available.
