Alameda Health System in Oakland will take over the financially struggling St. Rose Hospital in Hayward, California, enabling the latter to continue operating. The healthcare organizations agreed to a membership issuance agreement in early November, which establishes Alameda as St. Rose’s sole statutory member. St. Rose will remain an independent non-profit but will become an affiliate of Alameda Health System.
