Caesars Confirms Hack in Second Recent Casino Attack

Caesars Entertainment recently announced a late-August cyber attack that resulted in a significant financial loss. The attack focused on the company’s loyalty program database, which included data, such as driving license numbers and Social Security numbers. The statement suggests payment of a ransom. The assault was reportedly led by a hacking group called Scattered Spider, which specialises in social engineering hacks. This followed a similar attack on MGM casinos.
