Building dynamic cyber security learning capabilities

The healthcare sector in South Africa is facing a rising cyber attack threat, according to Rennie Naidoo, a professor in Information Systems at Wits Business School. He warns that “cyber security inertia”, where old habits and routines make it hard to adapt to new challenges, is preventing healthcare organisations from defending against threats. He suggests a new “dynamic cyber security learning capabilities” approach which includes continuous assessment, adjust their security posture, and leadership incorporating cyber security into all business facets.
