SquareX, a start-up offering a browser extension that detects and blocks malware, has raised $20m in a Series A funding round led by SYN Ventures, with Peak XV Partners also contributing. SquareX’s extension aids enterprises in defending against online threats, including malicious sites and phishing campaigns. It features a chatbot interface for the IT team and provides over 20 malware analysis tools.

Over 5.5 million people were affected by a data breach involving an “unauthorized third party” on Yale New Haven Health’s network (YNHHS) on March 8.
