Breaking: ClubsNSW, OutABox data breach not a hack, says NSW Police

Millions of customers of New South Wales (NSW) pubs and clubs may have had their personal data accessed in a data breach. The breach, which occurred at third-party sign-in provider OutABox, is being investigated by NSW Police. The breach came to light when an anonymous website claimed to have details of the incident. The website, according to investigators, may have been established by the hackers behind the breach. The investigation encompasses several offences, including blackmail and unlawful possession of personal data.
