Infostealer malware, which steals user data like bank account and crypto wallet information, is emerging as a major threat to corporate information security in 2024. Often embedded in cracked software or repackaged games, these malware varieties don’t need administrative privileges to access information, making them especially dangerous. Though the primary target tends to be personal credentials, valuable corporate credentials are also harvested. Flare recommends several security measures including limiting download privileges, not sharing corporate computers and regularly updating software.
