Breach at Community Health Plan of Washington affects nearly 400,000 members

Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW) has suffered a breach that may have exposed the records of 381,534 current and former patients. The breach was confirmed on November 30, and CHPW has hired cybersecurity firm Kroll to help affected individuals determine if their data has been stolen. The delay in notifying members was due to the need to set up security measures and translation services.
