Hackers access the website’s partner hotels and use malware to gain user details. A phishing email is then sent asking customers to provide payment information urgently. Security firm Secureworks said the scam, which is aimed at less tech-savvy users, has a high success rate. Booking.com said it was assisting victims and helping partners to secure their systems.
