The European Commission has unveiled an EU Action Plan to bolster cybersecurity among hospitals and health providers, following 309 significant cyber attacks in the sector in 2023. The plan includes improved detection, prevention, impact mitigation and cyber threat deterrence, and aims to introduce a pan-European Cybersecurity Support Centre. The plan will be developed collaboratively and rolled out over two years.
