The aerospace and defence company Boeing has confirmed a cyber attack on its parts and distribution business. The Lockbit ransomware group is reportedly behind the attack. Although flight safety was not compromised, a significant amount of sensitive data was purportedly exfiltrated. The Lockbit group, deemed the most active global ransomware group in 2022, has supposedly earned around $91 million from ransom payments since 2020.
