BianLian ransom demand hoax circulates via snail mail

The FBI and the American Hospital Association have warned about a ransom hoax involving threats of data leaks, purportedly from the Russian ransomware group BianLian. Hospitals have been receiving ransom demands, which are believed to be hoaxes, via the U.S Postal Service. The sender provides no evidence of stolen data, and victims are urged to contact the FBI and preserve the letters for forensic analysis.
