Around 33% of healthcare organizations use artificial intelligence (AI) without formal restrictions, half allow AI use if approved by management, and 16% completely ban it, according to a survey by Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Additionally, 37% use AI for tasks like support and data analytics, and 35% use it for clinical services like diagnostics. Meanwhile, 31% of respondents’ organizations actively monitor AI usage. Concerns over data privacy topped future AI-related cybersecurity concerns.

Quarter of Australian hospitals lack strong cyber measures
Almost 23% of Australia’s top hospitals lack adequate cybersecurity measures, according to cybersecurity firm Proofpoint. An analysis of 70 hospitals found the strongest level of
