Check Point researcher Antonis Terefos warns of a rising threat from the Banshee Stealer malware to the increased number of macOS users worldwide, including Russia. The malware, which sells for $3,000 per month, can capture credentials and cookies stored by popular browser extensions and infiltrate the system’s Keychain.
