BadBazaar and Moonshine malware targets Taiwanese, Tibetan and Uyghur groups, U.K. warns

Spyware variants BADBAZAAR and MOONSHINE, previously linked to the Chinese government, are targeting Uyghur, Taiwanese and Tibetan groups. Appearing in official app stores, they trojanize apps and collect valuable data. The spyware can access location data, messages, photos, microphones and cameras on phones. The most at risk are groups focused on Taiwan independence, Uyghur Muslims, Tibetan rights, democratic advocacy, and Falun Gong.
