Hackers are impersonating Corsair, an American computer peripherals company, on LinkedIn to target social media managers with info-stealing malware. The aim is to gain access to their Facebook business accounts and credit cards, enabling malicious advertising campaigns. The scam was uncovered by cybersecurity researchers from WithSecure, who believe the scam originates from Vietnam. They noted that fake job advertisements on LinkedIn are a common tactic, with the North Korean Lazarus Group previously using this strategy.
