Automotive supply chain vulnerable to attack as cybersecurity regulation looms

About 64% of leaders in the automotive industry believe their supply chains are susceptible to cyberattacks, according to a Kaspersky study. Many enterprises are ill-prepared for the digital automotive era. The biggest cybersecurity risks come from infotainment systems and connection technology with a third of the respondents failing to find value in their cyber intelligence investments. By 2024, the UN155/156 regulations will require all OEMs to implement layered cybersecurity solutions. However, 42% of the interviewees are yet to develop a plan in this regard.
