The Australian government is granting $6.4 million to the Critical Infrastructure – Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (CI-ISAC) to set up a cyber security information sharing network for the healthcare industry. This is in response to the rising number of cyber attacks and data breaches targeting healthcare organisations. CI-ISAC aims to protect Australia’s 6,500 general practitioner clinics and 1,400 hospitals from such threats.
