Threat actors are duping advertisers into submitting their Google Ads account credentials by impersonating Google Ads login pages. Originating from several global locations, the culprits utilise the stolen accounts to buy and disseminate malicious ads and malware. The scammers appear to succeed due to their ads’ indistinguishability from legitimate Google ads. Google is currently investigating the issue and working on a solution.
