Atrium Health responds to new social engineering attack

Atrium Health is notifying patients and employees after an unauthorised third party accessed some email accounts through a phishing scam. While no medical or health information was affected, potentially exposed data includes names, addresses, social security numbers, medical record numbers and bank details. Atrium Health is providing training to mitigate similar risks in future and offering complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services to those affected.
