Atlantic General Hospital (AGH) has agreed a $2.25m data breach settlement stemming from a January 2023 hack that exposed the personal information of 30,000 patients. The breach led to a class action lawsuit, with plaintiffs accusing the hospital, which spans Maryland, Virginia and Delaware, of insufficient investment in data security. Claimants in the settlement can claim up to $5,000 for losses and also receive three years of credit monitoring services.
