Northwestern Ontario’s Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center (TBRHSC) is using asynchronous video technology to improve patient care and operations. The technology informs patients about pre-surgical instructions, reducing clinical staff time and standardising the information provided. The technology, provided by HCT Digital Care, could enhance the engagement of patients and caregivers. Since implementation, there have been over 9,500 video views and inbound patient questions have dropped by a rate of 15 to 1.

‘SpyLend’ Android malware tricked 100,000 users into downloading it
A new Android malware called SpyLend, part of a group of malicious apps called “SpyLoan”, has infected at least 100,000 devices, according to a security
