Apple security researcher: Latest MacOS encryption malware threat is exaggerated

MacOS malware ‘Banshee’, which targets cryptocurrency wallets and browser credentials, has been discovered by Check Point. The malware mimics Apple’s encryption algorithms to avoid antivirus detection. Despite media concerns, Apple security researcher Patrick Wardle has downplayed the threat, stating that the latest MacOS systems can defend against such threats.
