Apple patches 0-day exploited in “extremely sophisticated attack”

Apple has patched a critical zero-day vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2025-24201, affecting virtually all supported iPhone and iPad models. The flaw, which originates in Apple’s WebKit browser engine, was reportedly exploited in “an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals” using older iOS versions. The latest iOS and iPadOS versions have been updated to 18.3.2 to address the issue. Users at risk, particularly those targeted by law enforcement or nation-state spies, are urged to update immediately.
