Appdome reveals consumer expectations for enhanced mobile app security

Appdome’s 2023 Global Consumer Expectations of Mobile App Security study reveals a significant shift in consumer attitudes towards app security. Over 82% favour proactive preventative measures over conventional reimbursement for frauds. Consumers hold app developers primarily responsible for their safety, and most would reject apps with perceived insufficient protection. However, if protected adequately, over 93% would advocate for the brands. An overwhelming 85.6% prioritise security over new features, and younger users increasingly prefer app-based purchases.
