Another Steam game removed for being suspected malware

Valve has removed a second game from Steam suspected of malware infection within a month. The action FPS game Sniper: Phantom’s Resolution was removed after users reported malware was installing on their devices after downloading a free demo of the game. The malware was found to be an infostealer, bypassing Windows credential encryption to steal files without detection.
