Americans Have Lost the Plot on Cooking Oil

Choosing and using different types of cooking oils can be confusing; however, saturated fats are linked to increased health risks, while unsaturated fats from plant-derived oils, such as olive or canola, are healthier. Overheating oils and storing them incorrectly can lead to harmful by-products. Despite debates about the best oils, focusing on overall healthy diet and correct oil usage is more essential than obsessing over minor health differences among various cooking oils.
