America Is Gambling With Another Low-Vax Winter

With the end of the public health emergency, the private sector is now responsible for most of the distribution of COVID vaccines, leading to an uneven and chaotic rollout. According to a recent CDC survey, only 7% of adults and 2% of children have received the latest COVID shot. Vaccine hesitation is still prevalent, with 38% of adults not planning to vaccinate themselves or their children. Experts warn that the low vaccination rates combined with complacency could leave the U.S. vulnerable to a future viral variant.
