Alzheimer’s Nerve Cell Death May Be Preventable by Halting Necroptosis

A new study by researchers from KU Leuven and VIB has identified inhibitors that are able to prevent the cellular loss associated with Alzheimer’s disease, which leads to memory decline and a loss of cognitive ability. The findings open up new potential therapeutic strategies for the condition, which could slow or even prevent the build up of brain damage.
