This manipulation led to a $1,000 surge in Bitcoin’s price. Council, who allegedly used the aliases Ronin, Easymunny and AGiantSchnauzer online, faces up to five years in prison if found guilty. Court documents reveal that his Google searches included “how can I know for sure if I am being investigated by the FBI”.
