Software company Blackbaud has agreed to pay $49.5m in a multistate settlement over a 2020 data breach incident. The data breach revealed the personal information of millions of consumers across the United States. As part of the settlement, Blackbaud has also agreed to strengthen its data security and breach notification practices. Of the total pay-out, Delaware will receive $380,662.

MacOS malware ‘Banshee’, which targets cryptocurrency wallets and browser credentials, has been discovered by Check Point. The malware mimics Apple’s encryption algorithms to avoid antivirus
