Address Technical Debt in Healthcare Sooner Than Later

The cost of maintaining outdated technology in healthcare can exceed its value, becoming a ‘tech debt’. Leaders often view this debt in purely financial terms, but should also consider the potential risks it poses to patient care. Completely eliminating legacy systems is costly and not feasible. However, tech debt can be mitigated by avoiding the implementation of monolithic platforms and prioritizing investment in human resources to address issues.
