A 197% surge in email cyberattacks was registered in H2 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, with nearly half of the users experiencing attacks, according to the “Acronis Cyberthreats Report”. The report also found a rise in ransomware groups targeting MSPs as strategic entry points for infiltrating client systems. Acronis Threat Research Unit has reported blocking over 48 million malicious URLs at endpoints in Q4 2024. The UAE, Singapore, and Italy faced the most malware attacks.
