Access granted: How providers aren’t locking down their files

According to Varonis’ Global Data Risk Report, nearly a quarter of files in an institution are accessible to everyone. The survey found that half of organizations had exposed sensitive files to all employees. In addition, the report revealed that many organizations do little to monitor their data. The report highlights the importance of controlling access to sensitive information to prevent breaches and theft and emphasizes the need for routine audits and data purging.
