Accenture latest to breach client data due to misconfigured AWS server

According to security researcher Chris Vickery, Accenture left four Amazon Web Services S3 buckets open to the public, potentially allowing anyone to download the contents, including confidential data and passwords. Vickery notified Accenture, which then secured the servers. The incident underscores the risks of misconfiguring cloud servers and highlights the potential for malicious attacks and financial damage. This is not an isolated incident, as other companies have also accidentally exposed sensitive data stored on AWS S3 servers.
