Abortion Trends Before and After Dobbs

Despite initially dropping after the Dobbs ruling overturned Roe v. Wade, the number of abortions in the U.S. has slightly increased two years post-ruling. This is likely due to multiple factors, including expanded telehealth services, mail-order abortion medications, lower costs for virtual care, state laws protecting abortion access, and increased interstate travel for abortions. However, further state bans and restrictions, alongside ongoing legal challenges, could potentially reverse this trend.
