A Record Number of Californians Are Visiting Emergency Rooms for Dog Bites

Dog bite incidents have increased significantly since the COVID-19 outbreak, revealing a public health concern in California. There were 48,596 emergency room visits due to dog bites in 2022, a 70% increase from 2005’s rate. Experts link this spike to un-socialized pandemic puppies turning into adults.
