A new Windows malware hunter was tested by AV-TEST and it was quite terrible

The latest reports from AV-Comparatives and AV-Test reveal the performance of anti-malware products like Microsoft Defender, McAfee, and Norton. Based on real-world and malware protection tests, Microsoft Defender and McAfee performed poorly in offline detection, but performed well for online protection. Newcomer Bkav, a Vietnam-based antivirus product, performed poorly in both protection and usability categories, struggling with zero-day malware and recording a high number of false positives.
