A New Danger at America’s National Parks

National parks in the US, particularly those in areas prone to extreme heat like Death Valley and Joshua Tree, are facing challenges due to increasing temperatures. Rescue missions are getting increasingly difficult due to the heat, with helicopters unable to take off in temperatures above 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Despite the risks, millions of visitors still flock to these parks, often unaware of the dangers associated with heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Climate change has led to parks experiencing temperature increases at double the rate of the rest of the country.
