Researchers at Georgia Tech have developed an automatic malware removal tool called ECHO. The tool exploits the built-in update mechanisms of malware, hindering botnets from rebuilding and removing them 75% of the time. This process which would normally take days or weeks, now only takes minutes, saving companies time and money.
