The cybercriminals imitate Booking.com and deploy a dangerous malware called XWorm by manipulating users’ “click fatigue” with cookie consent banners. Once the users click on the fake cookie banners, they unknowingly activate dangerous scripts that allow attackers to control infected systems and collect sensitive data.
